More than 100 participants, were informed about the objectives, actions and results of the SMiLe project, at the Info Day “Primary Health Care Accessible to All” that took place on 28th June 2019 at Conference hall at Cultural Centre and Library on Harmanli, Bulgaria.
Among the participants were representatives of the Municipal administration – Harmanli, Center for Community Support, Registration and Reception Center – Harmanli, Cultural Center – Harmanli, Medical hospital for active treatment – Harmanli, etc.
The event started with the registration of participants, immediately followed by an introduction and welcome words from Mrs. Valentina Dimulska – Deputy Mayor of Municipality of Harmanli. Mrs. Nina Georgieva – coordinator of MPHAT Harmanli presented briefly the history and activity of the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment Harmanli.
The second topic of the day was “Performing primary examination and providing medical care to persons seeking international protection” with presenter Nurse Veselina Marinova, Senior specialist at Registration and Acceptance Center – Harmanli at the State Agency for Refugees. A representative from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (beneficiary partner 2 of the project) presented the next topic of the day – Access of people with disabilities to primary health care.
The info day continued with presentation for Accessibility of public buildings in Bulgaria – status and perspectives. “Primary health care in Bulgaria – status and perspectives” was presented by Mrs. Gabriela Antonova, Programs and projects Manager at Adoria Consult Ltd. “New global commitment to primary health care” was the last topic of the Info day. The event ended with follow-up discussions with participants.
